While most of the Resident Evil movie reboot set photos have focused on imagery and locations from Resident Evil 2, like the Raccoon City Police Department and Emmy’s Diner, the new set photos seem to represent locations from the first game in the series. The images, taken from the Instagram pages of people working on the movie, show a dark forest and a helicopter, both of which played a role in the beginning of the first Resident Evil game....

A recent report has unearthed what seems to be some artwork from the Resident Evil Village DLC Trauma Pack which reveals that fan favorite of the series, Ada Wong, may have originally been planned to make an appearance in the game, but was cut at the last minute. The artwork shows a concept drawing of Ada donned in a plague doctor costume whilst holding a crossbow. There’s also some storyboard drawings which depict her in action, bursting into rooms and firing on unsuspecting enemies....

The Resident Evil series is no stranger to fanmade mods and its latest mainline installment is no exception. Those knowledgeable about the game’s engine have been hard at work adding additional settings, making Lady Dimitrescu’s hat constantly grow, and, in this case, adding more useable melee weapons. Both of the new teaser images were shared by Capcom through IGN, so details about each image are thin and somewhat filtered. Luckily, the map image speaks for itself. The Resident Evil Village map is laid out like a classic Castlevania map, with key locations highlighted in varying detail. Returnal is one of the most anticipated horror games for 2021. Several teaser trailers have shown off some gorgeous graphics and a suitably spooky atmosphere, but developer Housemarque intends for the game to have more than just a pretty aesthetic. So far Returnal looks to have an interesting mix of combat inspirations including bullet hell shooter elements and roguelike gameplay packaged into a third-person shooter. Players won’t know exactly how this combination feels until the game’s release on April 30 but there’s a lot for shooter fans to get excited about....

As with any addiction though, there’s an amount of remorse associated with the time you’ve lost. Considering that, Civilization as a franchise loses some of its glamor. There are aspects of the games that aren’t worth spending so much time on, or could have been more enjoyably appropriated. Civilization V however, includes multiple dramatic changes that have been made to the Civilization formula. Don’t let that fool you though; this game is absolutely Civilization....
