Resident Evil VII was confirmed to thundering applause at Sony’s E3 2016 press conference. The game, born from the creepy “Kitchen” VR demo that Capcom has been showing off these past couple of years, looks to be one of the scariest virtual reality experiences we’ve seen to date, and will be available on January 24th, 2017. Simply put, it would be hard to deny that Resident Evil VII is returning the franchise to its horror roots after seeing the heart-pounding trailer that was released for the game at E3....

However, Capcom recently released new art for Chris Redfield, which appears to hint at the character’s fate in the game. The specific art in question sees half of Chris’s face resembling that of a werewolf (as seen above), suggesting that the character will be infected at some point in the game. Of course, the question now is what does this mean for werewolves in Resident Evil 8, and most importantly, how will this impact Chris Redfield’s future in the series?...

This is according to AestheticGamer, who has accurately leaked Resident Evil news in the past. They claim that Capcom has already started development on Resident Evil 9, but that it’s unlikely the game will release before 2024. The game is so early in development that “it’s actually not worth even talking about right now” since the concept could change so drastically between now and when it’s actually revealed to the public....

The earlier Resident Evil games were structured around the Umbrella Corporation being the big bad, which suits the mix of horror and conspiracy thriller themes that the series encompasses. The Umbrella logo became synonymous with evil big tech with zombies and other mutated creatures being the result of Umbrella’s recklessness or malice. As the series progressed, Umbrella’s power and presence deteriorate in lieu of more focus on the protagonists of the series, with Umbrella serving as mostly an easter egg in Resident Evil Village....

Anyone who destroys every Goat of Warding in Resident Evil Village will receive the “Heretic” Trophy/Achievement. For a more practical reward, players will also earn 16000 CP to be used in the in-game Extra Content Shop. This will go a long way towards earning cool unlockables, or power-ups that will be helpful on higher difficulties. Players don’t necessarily need to go out of their way for the Goats of Warding during their first playthrough of the game....

In a recent video uploaded to YouTube, it’s been revealed that a modder, who goes by the name Fluffyquack, has changed the perspective of Resident Evil Village which shows the game from a third-person viewpoint. The four-minute video shows Ethan Winters confronting Lady D in a cut-scene in which she attacks him and throws him to the ground, as well as moments of action.
